Chris Whaley is a Health Economist and Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health. His research focuses on healthcare price transparency and market structure. It has been published in leading clinical, health policy, and economics journals and has been covered in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and CNN.
Chris has presented results to state and federal policymakers, including the US Congress, California State Assembly, Texas House Select Committee on Health Care Reform, Executive Office of the President, Congressional Budget Office, and the Federal Trade Commission. He received his Ph.D. in Health Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
